Back on March 5th, 2026, I jumped back into active streaming. You know how it goes—you hit the ground running, setting up alerts, tweaking audio, managing chat, and trying not to look like a complete potato on stream.

When March wrapped up, I wanted to do something special. I wanted to share the month's stats, shout out the supporters who kept the vibes alive, highlight the absolute funniest moments that caught me completely off guard, and celebrate the overall growth of the channel. More than anything, it was about thanking the community. At the end of the day, it's you guys getting me where I am—each day, week, and month.

I did this recaps routine for a few months. And then... life happened.

The Burnout of Balancing It All

You know how it gets. You get busy working on stream updates, sorting out your links, generating clips for TikTok and Shorts, building a merch store, launching a website, writing blog posts, hanging out with friends, and just living life.

Balancing streaming, coding, content creation, and real life is a hard thing to master. I still have times where I struggle, fumble, and miss beats. Sure enough, I stopped giving monthly stats.

Months later, I still found myself wanting to track those moments. I wanted to share them with chat, keep that storytelling alive, and look back at the journey. That brings us to right now—when I finally looked at the friction, said "fuck it," and decided to write my own application.

Prototyping in Go & Building Stream Metrix

I started prototyping as fast as I could in Go. Writing backend services in Go is just clean—fast execution, low overhead, and great concurrency handling for real-time data hooks. But as I hacked away at the initial prototype, I realized this wasn't just a quick one-off script I wanted for myself.

I decided to re-architect the whole thing into a proper multi-tenant architecture.

It’s still early stages, but I'm genuinely excited about it. I want to see what my channel point redemptions are actually doing, who is using them, and who is active in chat. These are all details I'd love to know, but let's be real: I can't be staring at my viewer list every 5 minutes while I'm locked into a match. Sure, I can glance over every so often, but that doesn't give me the full picture.

With this tool, I can finally capture the complete data footprint of a broadcast without breaking my focus. Ladies and gentlemen, I’m excited to announce my new analytics project: Stream Metrix (name pending).

Stay tuned. Stream Metrix is coming along, and I'll be sharing more of the journey right here.
